ABSOLUTELY TOP DRAW,
By
This review is from: Wall: Live in Berlin (Audio CD)
An absolutely first rate "live" performace by an ensemble of musicians put together by Roger Waters. Artists include the Scorpions, Joe Cocker, Snowy White and Cindy Lauper.
An equally excellent DVD is also available, pure quality from the days when being talented was at a premium

A must for any Pink Floyd fan,
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Wall: Live in Berlin (Audio CD)
I bought this double CD and the accompanying video just after the concert was held in Germany and I have listend to it uncountable times since. How could one top one of the definitive "rock operas" of our time? Upgrade it to include more talented musicians such as Van Morrison, Sinead O'Connor, Joni Mitchell, etc. David Gilmour's guitars are typically irreplaceable, but even I will admit that for the first time, Roger Waters found excellent substitutes. Any true Pink Floyd fan will love this music.

It's Not Pink Floyd But It's The Next Best Thing,
By Michael A. Clark - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Wall: Live in Berlin (Audio CD)
Not having been a big Roger Waters fan, this DVD changed my whole attitude and opinion of Roger Waters. This DVD/CD may not be Pink Floyd, but it sure is the next best thing. I thoroughly enjoyed this DVD. I had viewed Roger Waters as a whining, moaning, groaning, and complaining child who just wanted to have something to cry about. After seeing this DVD, that all changed. He was so cool, calm, and collected in this DVD and so relaxed. I was impressed with the way he shared the spotlight with other musicians and didn't cop an attitude by self-centeredness, selfishness, and egotism. I think he had the idea of performing this version of The Wall the same way Pink Floyd did the live version of The Wall. It was superbly done. All the musicians were superb especially Cyndi Lauper and Bryan Adams. You can always tell Cyndi even if you don't hear her because of her eccentricities. If you're not a Roger Waters fan or if you have doubts about him, check out The Wall: Live In Berlin and his other live album In The Flesh. I can guarantee you will have a change of heart. My friend gave me a copy of this DVD and after seeing it, I was totally blown away by the performance and came away with a different attitude toward Roger Waters. I was so impressed with this DVD/CD and the In The Flesh DVD I had to order the CDs. I do not regret it for a minute. I would highly recommend both these albums for any Pink Floyd or Roger Waters fan. You won't regret it!

If you Floyd lovers like this great CD, than you will have an even greater time watching the concert on the "Live at the Wall" DVD. And those that are new to Pink Floyd or this CD and DVD, you will absolutely enjoy the experience. Long live "rock and roll"!!!!!
