Linda Barker was born and brought up in Yorkshire, and she trained first as a fine artist and then as an interior designer before establishing her own successful decorating business in London during the mid 1980s. Soon after that she was catapulted into the public eye as part of the original team that made BBC TV’s Changing Rooms such a runaway success. Linda subsequently wrote all three books that accompanied the UK series. Linda’s decorating ideas and advice now regularly feature in newspapers, magazines and interior books around the world, and her face is familiar on TV for a wide range of entertainment and property-related programmes. Linda’s other published titles include Wall to Wall, Just Junk and Trade Secrets. In the commercial world, Linda’s distinctive design talents are currently employed on everything from furniture to fabric to homes and hotels, and she has also put together an award-winning home accessories collection of her own.
