This review is from: Walking in the Way of the Word: The Collected Writings of H. Evan Runner (Paperback)
Paideia Press is to be commended for publishing the Collected Writings of Evan Runner. This book is volume two of the Collected Writings, although it has been published first.
Runner was a philosophy teacher at Calvin College and was a major influence on many Reformed thinkers who have delved deeply into the Dutch writers, such as Kuyper and Dooyeweerd. Runner himself worked to translate the Promise and Deliverance series by Dutch pastor S. G. DeGraaf.
Walking in the Way of the Lord consists of two books that grew out of Runner's lectures to Christian scholars. The first is "The Relation of the Bible to Learning" and the second is "Scriptural Religion and Political Task."
Runner was a foundational thinker and a Reformational philosopher whose works provide substance to Christian Worldview Thinking. There are now many books and school curricula that are built around the concept of Worldview. Before the idea and term became popular in Christian and Christian schooling circles, men like Runner were teaching and writing from a Christian worldview.
This book is one of many that Paideia Press is making available and publishing at extremely affordable prices.
