Product Description

Product Description

Following personal tragedy, Charlotte Hayes finds herself living in poverty and in charge of two motherless boys and a waif from the streets. She works in a nearby bookshop and just about manages to survive.

When an autocratic doctor and her employer's engaging son arrive in Lincoln, she is drawn into two very different worlds and she struggles to retain her family and stability.

But then she is accused of blackmail and murder and her dark secret is discovered. Can she rise above her torments and achieve the happiness she desires?

About the Author

Jean Morley was born in Lincoln but has spent most of her life in Wiltshire. Here she taught City and Guilds Sugarcraft for many years. Now retired, she indulges in water colour painting and writing. Her eclectic range of short stories have been entered in competitions, read to groups and broadcast on radio. Walking the Imp?s Path is her fourth novel.

A best seller 3 Nov 2006
Format:Paperback
Jean Morley's books are charming and enthralling and she must stand amongst the better writers. 'Walking the Imp's Path' is no exception which gave me hours of pleasurable reading. I simply couldn't put it down. In my view,it would make an ideal Christmas and/or birthday gift.

I am now awaiting her next, and fifth, book and I hope she is writing to achieve this.
