Book Description

14 Oct 2013 Honey Driver Mysteries
Hotel owner and police liaison officer Honey Driver is about to find out that the living are more terrifying than the dead. Bath's answer to Miss Marple; though younger and fuller of figure - accompanies professor of the paranormal, Mary Jane, on a ghost walk. The ghosts fail to appear, but one of the walkers is later found hanging from the rafters of an old shop. The supernatural has nothing to do with the murder, but it is connected to the past and the international demand for old artefacts. Honey has two other big problems; the first is that she's being stalked by a man in wellies riding a motorbike. The second is that her mother is threatening to move closer to her hotel. No guesses as to which concerns her the most. But does Honey have a ghost of a chance of solving her latest case...?

More About the Author

J G Goodhind was born in Bristol where she worked in a variety of jobs where she fully admits to feeling like a square peg in a round hole. In the eighties she owned and ran a haunted hotel in Bath. (Yes, it was!) where she played host to many foreign nationals. That experience and those people she met form the basis of the Honey Driver Mysteries. Previous to writing cosy crime she wrote women's fiction as Jeannie Johnson and also writes a column for West Country Life. She is married with a husband, a daughter and a sailing yacht.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best so far. 1 May 2014

This is the 3rd in the Honey Driver series, and I thought the best so far. The characters now seem like old friends.
I would recommend these books to anyone who enjoys a little detection with romance thrown in.

2.0 out of 5 stars Rather slow 9 April 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book was not for me. The pace was slow and characters rather boring. Over half way through the story had hardly progressed and I had not seen a ghost.

I have just started reading the Honey Driver series and whilst they are not exactly "great literature" they are a fun, easy read on a cold winters afternoon.
