My wife and I spent the week of our Golden Wedding at Yew Tree Farm, and explored the wonderful heritage of Beatrix Potter/ Heelis. This little book was central to our enjoyment and was extremely informative - and although we only walked one walk "5. Four Farms and a Cup of Tea" - the background information helped us to find other farms and learn about them.
The film "Miss Potter" was filmed partly at Yew Tree Farm and the little book helped understand the beauty of the countryside and the value of the heritage of 14 very beautiful farms given to the National Trust.

Saw this advertised on Amazon at a reduced price and as I am interested in anything to do with The lakes I decided to make the purchase.
Delighted ! What a lovely little book. Just the right size for your pocket for when you are out walking. Simple walks . No high level walks as Beatrix and ladies of her era were not known to do hill walking.
I look forward to trying it out.

The book was beautiful and inspiring for any one in to the Lack district and Potter! I thought the pictures were lovely! It was a gift for an Aunty who is extremely pleased with it!
