Printed as originally written by the anonymous "king of the norfolk poachers" only arranged by L.R Haggard. Reading this feels like the author is sitting in his armchair by the fire telling you the tale! It tells of rural life around the onset of the industrial revolution. Recounting conditions and ways of life, some of which should never been left behind and others that thankfully have been. A very heart felt, seemingly honest and sometimes critical account of his own life and deeds, the author also holds no punches in his oppinions of the changing world around him. Very captivating read to be sure!
