I really love these Sunflower guides, they all contain the personality of the authors who love the area they are informing you about; you get to understand and trust them.
We had an all too short holiday in the Soller area in early spring; we kept this guide in our pockets and easily followed some of the local walks, stopping for a coffee or glass of freshly squeezed orange juice when we had the chance. It helps to know that somewhere exists a few kilometres up the path for a snack and an ice-cream or if the path you are on contains nowhere and refreshments need to be carried. When we were there, it was early in the season, and the book does warn you about restaurant closures over the winter/early Spring. It was a great pity, as the author's descriptions of the food is mouth-watering, but luckily she includes a few recipes for you to try, which is a unique feature of this guide. We found a few of our own favourites of course, but this guide will certainly inspire us to return to the beautiful island of Mallorca for more walking and eating!
A clear, concise, well-written guide. Highly recommended as a good introduction to the best walks on the island.
