This song must be listened to very carefully,

Following the successes of American Idiot, Holiday and Boulevard of Broken Dreams, this catchy but slow tune will have you humming it for hours on end.People I know have branded it a 'suicide song', however its lyrics most people can relate to it. About Billies father who passed away 20 years ago, he expresses the sadness and grief he felt during his dark time... which I'm sure everyone has felt at some point of their life. I think many sufferers from 9/11 will relate to this song too with the suffering and pain they have felt. (god bless all those involved on that tragic day). Definatley a true song which came from experience and the heart, well done Greenday hope many more like it are on the way and i also think it should of ranked higher in the charts.

In my opinion this is one of the best songs on thier current album combining the usual Green Day electric guitars + drums with a slow sad melody yet keeping the rock feel to it. It's different because it's about Billie the lead singer's dad who died twenty years ago and the sadness Billie feels about it. Coincidentally the 9/11 incident was in September adding to the song's grief. No true Green Day fan can dislike this single.

this has to be one of their best song ever.the video is also great.i just didnt know what to think of it until i saw te video.buy it and you wont ever regret it.

I've liked Green Day for 2 years and I have all theri albums and I've Gotta Say Wake Me up September Ends is the BEST! And so is Hoemcoming all i have to say is BUY THIS CD IT IS THE BEST!!!!!
