.... Following hot on the heels of their first vinyl album How it all Began of 1985 released on the CD format for the first time in 2011, we are proud to announce the 2nd release in a planned four CD release series of the Gents' recorded output, with the release of their second vinyl release album from 1987, Waiting to be Seen. The Gents built a solid hard-earned mod-based following over the years from 1980 to 1989 and the Waiting to be Seen album was the second vinyl offering from the Doncaster outfit and the album represented a progression from the foot-stomping mod anthems of How it all Began such as New Direction, Revenge and Shout! etc, moving to a more thoughtful and maybe soulful direction with songs like I Just Don't Know, Set you Free, In Your Hands and projected 10th single from the band, Something Happened, which in fact didn't happen as the band folded before it...happened.
One side being designated the "Dancing Side" and the other the "Listening Side. Feat. rocked-up version of early song Waiting, along with Hey Girl and Trapped, a single if ever there should have been one, are all on the dancing side of this LP and along with an original gatefold sleeve to the vinyl album and cover photo art that gave more than a nod to Sergeant Pepper, the Gents' retro and mod credentials remained intact until they split in Feb '89.
Again this CD includes several bonus tracks as part of the project to release all known Gents' tracks on the digital format over time, made up of extended versions, previously unreleased recordings and b-sides and so there should be something here for everyone. Features ..
