Britain's best loved fellwalker never travelled abroad but each year for over forty years he undertook a journey north of the border to Scotland. In 1987 WAINWRIGHT invited ERIC ROBSON to join him as he revisited many of his favourite places. During a memorable summer together they travelled from Cape Wrath to the far north on a journey that included the Isle of Skye, the Torridon mountains, Glen Coe, the Cairngorms and many other special places.

I saw this originally on T.V. it was facinating then and was not disappointed years later. Buy it. Wainwright is a God to walkers on this Island and even if you are not interested in following in his footsteps it is inspiring and moves you to want to get up and see these truly beautiful and reachable places.

Being an American, this dvd introduced me to Wainwright. What a pleasure and a privelege to be taken along on this walk with this British icon. The views are wonderful, the company, excellent, the comments quiet, the background always fascinating.

See Scotland and Alfred Wainwright in all his glory with walking companion Eric Robson in this marvelous walking documentry. worth buying.
