I am pretty impressed with this product as a thinner, it is just that it has such uncomfortable grips that it hurts to work on a dog with a lot of hair!
I guess once the hair has been sorted out for length then it should be ok, but I have yet to try that format.
I have Spaniels, and generally I was able to get the mats of bracken and bits of stick etc out without hurting them, I will percevere but those finger and thumb grips really do need re-designing.
Apart from that, it does what it says on the tin. Thins and sorts out unmanageble hair without causing problems for the dogs.
Performance 5 stars but because it hurts me to use, 3 stars I am afraid.

Absolutely useless! I would like to know what they are supposed to cut??!!They are in the bin! Did not cut anything as totally blunt, was going to ask for refund but didn't get around to it as so busy with work commitments.Would still like a refund if Amazon would like to arrange it!

wasn't all that impressed with these, considering they are a massive brand name, they aren't very sharp and make a scraping/grinding noise when you use them.

Waste of money
Don't waste your money. These scissors are totally useless. They are so stiff I could hardly open them and they would not cut anything. Don't buy them. Mine are in the bin.

Disappointing
Expected a lot, got nothing. These scissors couldn't cut butter, don't waste your money. I expected a bit more from Wahl.

Wahl Smartgroom Pet Thinning Scissors
I have my dog clipped twice a year. Now that is behind me as these siccors are doing the job nicely.

NO GOOD FOR POMERANIANS

The scissors do what I expect they are supposed to, but I have not found them very effective/easy to use - probably my fault!

Pet grooming thinning scissors
It took me some time to 'ease' the blades and oil them, - after I had filed them on the inside face - so that I could use them without them biting.

Very poor thinning scissors - not at all sharp
Have had thinning scissors from Poundland that were sharper and cut better!
