I received my clippers yesterday and tested them out the same night.
It was my first home cut and it went extremely well, the clippers couldn't be simpler to use. The results were just as good if not better than a trip to the barbers. Just a grade 3 all over, however, the accompanying dvd gives tips on different haircuts and the techniques to be used. The dvd also covers clipper maintenance and what not.
Ear combs would be handy (not included in this kit) but regardless it was still an easy process.
I based my decision to buy on personal recommendation and reviews on this site (and others) concerning the 600 series model. Most people who had bought the 600 previously owned the 300 and were more than happy with it. The only concerning factor for me was price.

I have owned a 300 series for over 5 years and have had no problems with it. Replacement blades are available when you notice the cutting starting to deteriorate. But I have only replaced my blades once in the time I have owned this model (I even trimmed my dog as well with it for 3 years). I can recommend this model without hesitation.

I had to adjust the blade to make it really sharp! thats because i like to line up my head and have a 'just come out the barber look'!! this was done by unscrewing the blade, not so it comes off but just loosens a little, then pushing the blades close together and tighten! this gives you a clipper that you can have a close shave and a nice hair cut! i've saved so much money by buying this product.

A great starter kit.
Easy to use with good length of cord. The scissors come in handy, and so does the brush. Does need maintaining though, and the blades do become blunt, but only after a year or so.

Vibrates way too much

Does the Job

Whal 300
Great clippers do what you need them to do but the plastic combs are flimsy and would not take a great deal of force to break. DVD will not work in a dedicated player or on a PC.
