I have bought this blender, and it works wonderfully for baby food. However, when you wash the item, water gets stuck in the black top and stays there, there is no way of getting it out, and the water has now gone off and smells really horrible. this is obviously a design fault... can someone do anything about this. I love the blender, but the water getting in when washing is a real nightmare.

Having gone through 3 of these blenders, in about 18 months, my conclusion is that its not up to the job.

THe first we had was great and unfortunately met its demise when the lady wife over-exerted it with some date and pineapple chutney - fair enough, this blender isn't cut out for that much pulversising in one go.

The second arrived defective and was swiftly replaced without demur by the vendor. The most recent lasted for a while, but has now given up the ghost - I'm not sure the motor is really up for the job.

Originally bought this specifically for my wife and I to prepare baby meals (which it does perfectly) but it has since become a regular tool for several tasks around the kitchen - great for preparing sauces/drizzles and smoothie lovers will not be dissapointed.
