This large capacity slow cooker is ideal for family use and can be used to cook anything from joints of meat to curry's, stews and casseroles. It is an excellent choice for busy homes as meals can be prepared in advance and are cooked and ready to eat on return from work.

This 280W heats up to its maximum temperature of 97 degrees centigrade, on high setting, in 2 hours or, on a low setting, in 4 hours.

    this slow cooker cooks well but what i think is a design fault has caused me to return my original purchase and replacement. use of very light plastic on control knob to turn heavy metal control on actual cooker means that even trying to turn very carefully, plastic just snaps. am not willing to purchase appliance that i then have to use pliers to switch on, change settings etc.

    I bought this slow-cooker after breaking my trusty old cooker (not Wahl.)
    So far I'm not sure about the quality of it.
    The knob hasn't broken but can fly off when turning it two notches to the right ie: to auto setting.
    I think 'slow' seems to have been replaced by 'fairly fast' as it
    seems that without monitoring food can stick and burn around the edges of the cooker - unlike my old one where we once (unwittingly) left a beef casserole for 11 hours without a problem.
    The main selling points of my old cooker, namely that food didn't dry out, burn or spoil, don't seem to have been replicated.

    Bought one of these in order to see if meal for family of 4 could be prepared effectively whilst out of house for 8 hours. Based on other review, handled the switch rather gingerly.. Glad to report that I had no problems and that the cooking results were excellent. My major concern was that it would cook too quickly but it did a medium sized chicken perfectly (7.5 hours). Would recommend this to anyone looking to feed family of 4 / 5. switch fine on mine!
