This is trully the king of trimmers. You can feel the power when you turn it on. It really trims down to a balding level and does so *easily*. It is so good it is actually fun to use. I use it to bald my head and shape my beard into all kinds of spectacular shapes - no problem at all. I even use it to trim my body hair.
Only a word of caution: the trimmer blades are so fine that they actually cause shave burns similar to those caused by traditional blade shaving (especially your face). You need to watch it with the angle at which the trimmer comes in conduct with your skin and you should apply some kind of disinfecting balsam after use (e.g. a regular after-shave balsam)

This is truly a very good trimmer. It is very good and powerful with a super close shave. I used to get very bad shaving bumps with a razor or shaver. Using this clipper I am now getting as close a shave as a razor but minus the accompanying bumps. Depending on how you set it up; the shave is so close that you might want to apply a calming shaving balm after use (avoid alcohol based ones though).

It wasn't easy to track down clippers that will give a very very close cut, so I was pleased to find these clippers which are a very popular model in America it seems, but not so well known here. Unlike some cheaper Wahl clippers which can be noisy and underpowered, these are sturdy and smooth in operation and do not vibrate excessively. Altho' not rechargeable, the advantage of running off the mains is that they are consistently powerful and reliable and do the job fast. They are quite heavy to hold when clipping your hair yourself, which is a plus in that lighter clippers can "skip" off your scalp when close cutting whilst these "hug" the scalp more, but the weight is a minus if you have weak or arthritic hands/wrists. The clippers come with a couple of attachments for slightly longer cuts or for trimming the beard for the "designer stubble" look.
I am 100% pleased with these clippers, having had my fair share of rubbish ones, and would not hesitate to recommend them, especially to those who are going bald and want a really close cut to keep a tidy look

closest trim i've had!
