Wags at the World Cup was my introduction to the Wags, but now that I've met them all I'm going to get the previous two books - hilarious! And although very funny throughout most of the book, Ms Kervin's managed to convey their extreme vulnerability, something I didn't recognise previously when one reads the flashes about their lives in the tabloids. Would I want my daughter to be a Wag? Never, not even with all the clothes and the rest of the stuff. With the cinemas packing to the seams with women going to see the new Sex in the City movie it's clear that we have a great fascination for those who can afford to wear such gorgeous clothes and have a soap opera life far removed from our own. This is an extremely funny account of these womean and a glimpse into the world of football for those of us who don't necessarily have an ounce of interest in the sport.
