Subba Cultcha 8/10

"Turn up the volume, stick your head out of a moving car window, close your eyes and smile like a cheshire cat"

Get Ready To Rock

"...on Freud Links The Teeth And The Heart, Tell It To Thebes, and the set closer My Wife's Grave Is In Paris, it shows they have the potential to reach a far wider audience than most of their contemporaries. Their sound has more 'muscle' than most."

5.0 out of 5 stars Tellisions The Wages Of Fear, 16 Dec 2011
This review is from: The Wages Of Fear (Audio CD)
CATCHY Poppy Indie/Math Pop. These are the words to discribe this album. This album when you have listened to it a few times makes you sing along. Don't understand why this band are not bigger than they are. Great album to check out :)

5.0 out of 5 stars What a follow up!!, 7 Aug 2011
This review is from: The Wages Of Fear (Audio CD)
For those of you who loved Tellison's first album (Contact! Contact!), The Wages of Fear will not disappoint! Every song is great, with 'My Wife's Grave is in Paris', 'Say Silence (Heaven and Earth)', 'Tell it to Thebes', 'Horses', and 'Freud Links the Teeth and the Heart' being stand out tracks. You might argue that these songs make up about half of the album and so surely can't be standing out much, but they are simply fantastic! I easily listened to this album on repeat for a fortnight, and still loved it by the end! I would say that this album shows more of a variety of music styles than the first, which was probably what made it so easy to listen to for so long. Whether you are looking for something to dance to (I'd recommmend 'Say Silence', which I can't help but dance to when I hear, much to the dismay of my friends), or a song to have a pensive moment to ('My Wife's Grave is in Paris' would be my choice) you will find a song relevant for your mood. I was quite wary of this album, bearing in mind how much Tellison had to live up to from their first album, but I need not have been! Best album I've bought this year! In conclusion, if you like good music, I'd recommend that you buy this album! I'd also recommend seeing them live- they will definitely bring a smile to your face! : )
