Product Description

Product Description

At 27, Neil Mansell was working as a Business Development Manager in London, dissatisfied and frustrated with his job. By 30, he was earning enough from his property portfolio to leave that job. He has since become one of the UK’s leading experts on cash positive property investing, and now mentors and supports others in their quest for financial security and a better quality of life.

This book is Neil’s story of how he made the transition from corporate life to running his own highly profitable property business. In it, he charts his fears, how he overcame the challenges that faced him and shares the moments that made all the difference between failure and success.

Short on specifics 30 Dec 2011

An interesting read if you are into the topic of property. However, this is not a book with specific details on financing and business models for property investing, you will not be an expert on how to enter the property investment market on finishing this book. This is more of an informal description of the authors life. I haven't learnt much more than I already knew about the property market or investing.

Read it in a few hours and there's nothing in here to learn about 'how' to go about investing in properties. Most of the stuff is repeated endlessly without actually telling you how to do something. If you are still compelled to buy this book, may I suggest you buy the physical book as opposed to the kindle edition so you can at least return it and get your money back.

If you buy this thinking that it is going to give you insider tips to getting rich quickly then you are probably going to be disappointed, but that's because there are no quick routes for this. Instead Neil offers confirmation that financial comfort can be attained, maybe not by everyone but certainly, by most people if you are prepared to work hard to change your life for the better. I thought it was great value (less than £3 for the kindle version) and a quick read which didn't take me much more than a couple of train journeys to get through. There is definitely some good advice in there so it's worth a read IMO because self education is always worth your time if you go and take some positive action afterwards.

As a side note; I'm amazed at the 1 star review "nothing in here to learn about 'how' to go about investing in properties". Maybe the reviewer might have read the title of the book before purchasing. A bit of buyers remorse perhaps..

Great: Inspirational and motivating, but not 'happy-clappy'.
I `dipped into' this book recently, and due to its commendable brevity (in both senses of the word), ended up reading it all in one go. Read more

I had to work out what I wanted to do in life and then see which property strategy I should implement to help me get there, rather than deciding what seemed to be the best thing to do in property and then seeing whether it fitted in with my life. "e;
