Format: Paperback
In this short, but moving play, the issue of apartheid is dealt with, not in a centralised, obvious manner, but by describing with loving nostalgia the relationship between a white boy, Hallie, and a black man. The play, set in Hallies mothers restaurant, captures about an hour in the lives of three or four characters. This is a compelling and thought-invoking read, and I for one, strongly recommend it, for both veterans of drama, and the novice who has never read a play.
