This is my first graphics tablet and I can thoroughly recommend it. Very easy to install and very easy to use. In fact, whilst I was going through the instructions, I actually realised that I was already using the pen to control the mouse clicks and scroll - very intuitive! The tablet comes with an installation disk, a pen and holder, plus the USB cable from the PC to the tablet (the pen seems to work without battery or cable - magic? More likely magnetic)

The tablet area maps directly to your screen, so top left of the screen is top left of the tablet, etc. So none of this moving your mouse down over and over again to scroll, although you can switch to "mouse mode" if you wish. Note, it works with multiple monitors too and configures itself depending on how your monitors are set up. Again, you can customise this though.

There are 4 programmable keys to mimic a number of various options such as forward, back, pan, click etc. There is also a "touch ring" dial which you can use to zoom for supported applications.

The wireless pen itself has 2 pen buttons which can be programmed, plus a rubber, although I think I miss this running under XP. Certainly the support seems better under Vista, with some text recognition possible (so say the ad's)

The tablet itself looks great - 4 nice little blue lights light up next to the function keys. User manual too is great, explaining all the customisations.

All in all, a great product and, for the price, almost a must buy!

i have always thought about getting a wacom, but had bad past with grapics tablets.

but i took the dive, the wacom is awersome its simple to use and install, has a great surface and is very accurate although this reviews dont class this as a drawing tablet

u can draw really nice stuff, its very good if you want a budget tablet to get into the market

great for students

I just picked one up from Pixmania, and although their comms was a little lacking, the tablet itself is perfect. S. Hasler's review states it comes with a French adapator plug? Not possible as the tablet plugs into USB (international) and not the mains, no adaptor needed and the only manual supplied was in 4 languages inc. English. (the text on the back of the box was in French :o !!!)
