3.0 out of 5 stars Not so good for iPad Mini Retina 28 Nov 2013
Colour Name:Black|Verified Purchase
I have found the initial touch sensitivity not so good on my iPad Mini Retina. According to Wacom and Procreate forums this is to do with the sensor on the new iPad Mini (and also the iPad Air) which requires a firmer touch than older models. unfortunately this means that natural drawing etc is difficult and controlling the pressure feels unnatural. Wacom have mentioned the possibility of making softer nibs to solve this, but currently their softest one (the one supplied) is not good enough.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW WACOM do it again! 13 Sep 2013
Colour Name:Black
When it comes to graphics tablets and stylus/pens Wacom are the kings, and this stylus/pen is genuinely incredible, a real game changer.
From day one of the ipad, myself and many of my creative industries friends (I am an artist) kind of ummed and arred about its lack of pressure sensitivity but happily got on with working around this, adjusting our workflow to include constant opacity tweaking, or just relying on single line weight. We all pretty much used the ipad as basic digital creating tool whilst wishing Wacom would invent a pressure sensitive pen that would turn the ipad into a Cintiq style tablet... AND NOW THEY HAVE!
Its taken four years but Wacom have cracked it. The Creative Stylus is everything you could want in a ipad pen. From the moment you open the box this product yells quality, the (slightly unnecessary) case is so pro feeling you feel like James Bond opening a gadget from Q. The weight and metallic feel of the pen is outstanding and has the balance that you want from a pen, yes the nib is slightly large, but it's as small as they can make it and doesn't really hamper you in any way, just zoom in a little on the tighter work.
The pressure sensitivity is incredible! it actually is as sensitive as my Cintiq. I use Procreate on the ipad and I am blown away by its pressure levels on the app. The two programmable buttons are great for undo/whatever you like ( I have it set to erase but you can link it to any of the functions).

2.0 out of 5 stars Will not turn your iPad into a Cintiq. 30 Jan 2014
Colour Name:Black|Verified Purchase
I use a Cintiq daily for design work but have been waiting and hoping Wacom would bite the bullet and jump into the tablet market with a stylus which would allow me to use my Ipad air as a sketch book when out and about.
Enter the Creative Stylus- the packaging and overall product design is what you'd expect from Wacom so can't fault it there. The issue is with the nib, the material used, squidgy rubber and the size. Way too large to be fit for purpose for digital art on the ipad. It's like trying to illustrate with a magic marker all the time. Lack of control over details became very annoying very quickly.
When considering the purchase it was a toss up between the Wacom Creative Stylus and the Jot Touch 4.
Suffice to say the Wacom stylus was sold on ebay 2 weeks later and the Jot touch 4 purchased.
Don't believe the hype, I really wanted and was excited by the prospect of Wacom delivering a pro grade stylus for iPad, sadly this isn't it.

4.0 out of 5 stars stylus is great, but... 17 Jan 2014
Colour Name:Black|Verified Purchase
The battery is expensive and doesn't last very long. Why did they have to use AAAA batteries? We can't even find rechargeable batteries.

This was to replace a pogo connect that, ironically given its name, had terrible problems connecting.

The good:
The Wacom intuous stylus works perfectly with supported apps, sometimes needing a bit of setup, but once done tends to remember the settings when reused.
Looks chunky but fits hand well and you tend to forget its size when you start using It. Very well built and case is great and sturdy as a way of carrying it around.
Doesn't keep on dropping its connection and seems very stable
Pressure sensitivity is fairly linear and useable. Slightly bending tip sensor seems to be used to ensure you really are wanting a certain level of pressure
Very good tracking. Lines mostly go where you want them to and lines are consistent without the pen imposed judder of other styluses.
Works faultlessly with bamboo app, fairly well with moleskine
Some kind of unusual tip material as there is a consistent screen drag which doesn't get greasy or sticky after some use. Much better than standard rubber stylus tips. Drags like a pencil on cartridge paper.
Buttons easier to use and avoid than on pogo. Realistic amount of pressure needed on them but still light positive action. Shape of pen means your fingers stay put but if you like to pretend you are holding a stick of charcoal sideways, tough luck,
Used with an ipad mini, works extremely well. Actually makes it easier to use all the page.

The not so good
No support for Paper53. Surprising because this is so much better than other styluses. Suspect by Christmas to will be supported
Like ALL ipad styluses, wide end compared to a pencil but in reality doesn't really matter for most stuff.

The needs improving
No pen clip or way to stop the thing rolling off.

4.0 out of 5 stars Has a nice protective case that can store extra nibs and battery
Works well. Used on iPad4 and on iPad Air.

Supported in many different Apps. (Does not work in Paper 53, but this is due to Paper 53 and not the Wacom). Read more

I love my Wacom Stylus. It was a little expensive at first glance, but I get such a lot of use out of it. An excellent tool for the iPad and Bluetooth Tablet users.
