Summerslam '93 reminds me of how much the era of WWF Attitude in the late 90s has changed the whole feel of these events. This ppv takes place before blood-soaked hardcore matches and smashed ringside tables became commonplace. This card features some great singles and tag team wrestling as well as an award winning feud. Here's a rundown of the major matches:
Steiner Brothers vs. Heavenly Bodies - a stunning example of crisp and exciting tag-team action. The Steiners receive a great crowd response for their endless array of high-impact suplexes - they're all here. Their opponents execute some great double-team manoeuvres and show great timing. This is classic, speedy wrestling action which gives you no time to catch your breath - the best Steiners match at any WWF ppv.
Shawn Michaels vs. Mr. Perfect - a clash of 2 great technical wrestlers that match each other move for move. A fine mix of mat work and aerial manoeuvres, the crowd are firmly behind Perfect in the most skilful match of the event. It's a shame that the ending shortchanged the fans.
Bret Hart vs. Jerry Lawler - I'm a big fan of Bret Hart and I wondered how well he'd work with the aging Jerry Lawler. I needn't have worried -their feud is red-hot with an emotionally charged atmosphere in the arena. Two of Bret's brothers inc. the late Owen Hart are at ringside to witness a great brawl unfurl - but before Lawler and the Hitman collide, Bret has to face an unexpected opponent in the shape of Doink the Clown. These may not seem like great encounters on paper, but these wrestlers know how to work the crowd. Bret pulls off a few of his trademark moves, but these are not technical matches - it's all about how to get a feud over with the crowd, and it's done with style.
Lex Luger vs.

This video is just simply amazing if you like classic wwf wrestling this video is for you.The video is a special collectors item based on the Ultimate warrior and some of his greatest matches he's been in,for example you will see the warrior go one on one with the eighth wonder of the world Andre the giant in a classic wrestling match for the i.c strap. This is also a rare peice of wwf as its hard to find brand new.If you like the ultimate warrior like me this video is a must have,or any wrestling collection this video belongs there. So go on and FEEL THE POWER!!!!!

Unlike the WrestleFest predecessors that followed,
this first one was an actual live show held in the massive Milwaukee Stadium !
It doesn't actually say when it was shown, but I can only assume it was sometime after WrestleMania 4, meaning it was probably one, if not, the first video produced back then to not be part of the WrestleMania, Summerslam, Survivor Series collection !
The Match listing includes :-
The Killer Bees Vs The Fabulous Rougeous
Bret Hart Vs Bad News Brown (Grudge Match)
The Bolsheviks Vs Powers Of Pain
The Ultimate Warrior Vs Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan in a never before seen 'Loser Wears a Weasel Suit Match' (Quite Funny, and I bet you can't guess who wins (!)
Intercontinental Title Match
'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan Vs The Honky Tonk Man
Jim 'The Anvil' Neidhart Vs 'Leaping' Larry Poffo (Macho Man's Brother)
Jake 'The Snake' Roberts Vs Ravishing Rick Rude (Major Grudge Match)
Ken Patera Vs Dino Bravo
Tag Team Title Match
The British Bulldogs Vs Demolition w/Mr Fuji
World Championship Steel Cage Match
Andre The Giant w/Bobby Heenan Vs Hulk Hogan.
All in all this is isn't too bad for a live show.
Back then, the WWF only had 3 Events in a year so it is refreshing to see how some of the feuds developed after Wrestlemania and led up to Summerslam '88.
The best (entertaining matches) are The Ultimate Warrior Vs Bobby Heenan, just for the comedy value really !
Jake Roberts Vs Ravishing Rick Rude, just for the intensity level of how much they despised each other !
The British Bulldogs Vs Demolition was a very evenly contested match up that went back and forth.
