WWE Backlash 2000 is one of the best, if not the best wrestling event ever. If you werent able to see it when it was shown on SKY BOX OFFICE or if you are a newish WWE Fan then this is a fantastic piece to buy. It has so much history of WWE and it is one of the few events that have the "ATTITUDE" era of wrestling in it.
Here Are the match listings:
WWE Tag Team Championship Match:
Edge & Christian vs Road Dogg & X-Pac with Tori
This is a match to watch because it was one of the last matches with the DX tag team before they split up. it is a highly ebtertaining match.
Big Bossman and Bull Buchanan vs Acolytes
Although Im not too keen on big bossman, this match was very intense because of its muscle theme.
WWE Light HeavyWeight Title Match:
Dean Malenko vs Scotty Too Hotty
This one of my favourite matches of the PPV because it shows what the WWE New talent had to offer. Also to let you in with a secret, The finishing move of this match is off the charts!
WWE Hardcore Championship Match:
Champion Crash Holly vs Tazz vs Perry Saturn vs Hardcore Holly vs Hardy Boyz
This match is what it says it is " HARDCORE" it is a really high intense match and it's not for the weak hearted!
T&A with Trish Stratus vs The Dudley Boyz
This match is amazing and contains the fittest woman in the world - TRISH STRATUS!
WWE European Championship Match:
Eddie Guerrero with Chyna vs Essa Rios with Lita
This match is very fast paced and shows the great talent that WWE has to offer!
WWE Intercontinental Championship Match:
Chris Benoit vs Chris Jericho
This is my favourite match of the PPV. These two superstars are two of the greatest wrestlers in the WWE and if you watch this match you will see why!

Austin vs Rock was a cracker match for the world title and shano mac was the special guest referee I wouldn't rate the Undertaker shamrock match a great one but the rest of the matches were excellent.

Rock v HHH Eddie Guerero v Essa Rios 6 man hardcore match Dudleys v T&A DX v Edge Christian
The rest weren't very good.If you want to see Undertaker or Kane then don't buy this.

3.0 out of 5 stars Three words: Rock vs. Austin 18 April 2000
By A Customer
Format:VHS Tape
If it hadn't been for the two top faces in the WWF squaring off, this tape wouldn't be worth your bother. The boiler room brawl, although gory, is pretty boring. The Hardcore match between Hardcore Holly and Al Snow is the most boring thing I've seen in years, The six man tag team match pitting The Brood against The Acoloytes and Midian is passable, thanks to Edge and Christian, the Intercontinetal Title match pitting the Godfather against Goldust, although it has a hilarious finale, in one word SUCKS, Ken Shamrock against the Undertaker is BORING, BORING BORING, even by the Ministry's mediocre standards, and then we have the main event. Austin and The Rock deliver a tremendous match, that Rocky quite rightfully says is the best match of his career, and the tapes worth buying just to see 'The Rock Cam' alone. If you don't know what The Rock Cam is, I'll just says it's even funnier than when The Rock does commentary on his own match. This incredible match also includes the McMahon father and son brawling, and Stephanie when she was innocent getting kidnapped by the Undertaker. All in all, no WWF fan's collection is complete without the Rock-Austin match.

After a great WrestleMania 2000 (aka 16) it was time to bring on the Backlash. Triple H and The Rock stole the show with their amazing one on one match up for the WWF Championship. One of the main highlights of the main event was the Rock performing a double Rock Bottom on not only Triple H but Shane McMahon, who was sent crashing through the Spanish announcers table. It was also good to see the Rattlesnake Stone Cold Steve Austin coming into the match and laying out off all of the bad guys e.g. Vince McMahon and Triple H with a steel chair.

WWF Backlash 2000 Match Ratings:

1. Edge & Christian vs Road Dogg & X-Pac 3/5

2. Scotty 2 Hotty vs Dean Malenko (WWF Light Heavyweight Championship) 3/5

3. Big Boss Man & Bull Buchanan vs APA 3/5

4. Crash Holly vs Hardcore Holly vs Jeff Hardy vs Matt Hardy vs Perry Saturn vs Tazz (WWF Hardcore Championship) 4/5

5. Kurt Angle vs Big Show 3/5

6. Dudley Boys vs T&A with Trish Stratus 3/5

7. Eddie Guererro with Chyna vs Essa Rios with Lita (WWF European Championship) 4/5

8. Chris Jericho vs Chris Benoit (WWF Intercontinental Championship) 4/5

9. The Rock vs Triple H with Shane McMahon as Special Guest Referee (WWF Championship) 5/5

Match Favourite: The Rock vs Triple H with Shane McMahon as Special Guest Referee (WWF Championship)
Worst Match: N/A

4.0 out of 5 stars Mick Foley Does it again 26 Sep 2004

Well this is Definitely a must buy if you enjoy the dark years of the WWF (WWE) The PPV has a whole array of great superstars on the card. My two Favourite matches are as follows. The Boiler room brawl which features Mankind and The Big Show. Its a great laugh from start with a broom, to finish with alot of poles! The Second fight is the bout between Hardcore Holly and Al snow. This fight contained some really funny spots including a referee conducting the three count in a skip full of rubbish....ahem. Theis PPV also features, Stonecold Vs The Rock. The undertaker Vs Ken Shamrock, The Brood Vs The Acolytes and Midian. New Age Outlaws Vs Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett and X-Pac Vs HHH. A really good addition to your 1999 video libary.
