WWE No Way Out 2003 Match Ratings:

1. Chris Jericho vs Jeff Hardy 4/5

Have to be honest that even though this was the opening match, I would have to say that is was the best match of the night. As to expect plenty of good in ring wrestling and some great high flying jumps and kicks from Jeff Hardy, who in the end fell to the clutches of the Walls of Jericho, with no choice but to tap out.

2. RVD & Kane vs Lance Storm & William Regal (WWE World Tag Team Championship) 3/5

Nice little tag team match, with plenty of good tag team work by RVD & Kane who I thought were going to win this match, but sadly they didn't as Kane accidentally hit the Choke slam on his own tag team partner.

3. Billy Kidman vs Matt Hardy (WWE Cruiserweight Championship)3/5

Here we have a good match for the Cruiserweight Championship and have to say that the finish off a Twist of Fate off the turnbuckle was the eye catch moment of the match to see Matt Hardy becoming the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion.

4. Undertaker vs Big Show 3/5

Pretty good match between Taker & Big Show, with some good in ring and out ring action and in my opinion one of their better matches.

5. Chris Benoit & Brock Lesnar vs Team Angle 4/5

My second favourite match of the night with this being a really great match, with pretty much back and forth action from both teams.

6. Scott Steiner vs Triple H II (World Heavyweight Championship) 3/5

Not a bad match for the World Heavyweight Championship and have to say that it weren't bad for what people make it out to be as it was a rather enjoyable match between Big Poppa Pump & The Game.

No way out is an event that divides many, what appears to be accepted is that the card looked good enough and that plenty was expected,i for one, believe this to be a good event, only two matches bothered me really and that is forgivable, sort of.
The event opened with a blaze of glory,as chris jericho went head to head with jef hardy, this match was dazzling, spectacular and more, high moves, low moves and everything in between, both men gave 100 percent and the fans were going mad here,in truth i didnt want the match to end but when it did we all knew that we had seen something worth revisiting.
The next match was for the world tag team championship, the champions were william regal and lance storm who went up against the decent tag team of rob van dam and kane, this match was solid, while never knocking me off my feet, regal and storm performed well showing great chemistry as a team while van dam and kane had pace and power wrapped up as a team, the ending was enjoyable and this was short and sweet enough to maintain the shows quality.
Next up was a match for the cruiserweight championship, billy kidman, the champ, went up against matt hardy, hardy was certainly enjoying himself as a heel here and went into this with arrogance and a will to win that transferred itself to the way he approached kidman and i felt that these two enjoyed a good wrestling match that had some innovative and highly skilled segments as well,a good quality match.

4.0 out of 5 stars A PRETTY GOOD LEAD UPTO WRESTLEMANIA 9 Oct 2007
The WWE's second PPV of the year was a fairly good effort and provided a decent set-up for next month's WrestleMania XIX. The crowd, also, in Montreal proved entertaining during a number of matches due to their complete unpredictability. Anyhow, here's the matches in the order in which they occurred: (each match is rated out of 10)

MATCH 1-- CHRIS JERICHO vs JEFF HARDY. I was disappointed with this match the first time I saw it, but it gets better each time I watch it.

As an opening match it's good- it's allowed to go for a nice 15 minutes or so & there's some good near falls (for Hardy, his Swanton and Old school expulsion-like Twist of Fate and for Jericho, a soft-looking Lionsault and a Sleeper drop). There are a few faults with the match though- Jeff messes up a fair few spots (a weird roll-up near the end and a jawbreaker where he falls flat on his back) which sort of took away from the action.( Plus, Jeff looks like he's come straight from a paintball tournament.) In the end, Jericho powerbombs Jeff off the second rope and locks in what they're calling the Walls of Jericho, but what is actually just a run-of-the-mill Boston crab. Jeff taps anyway to this butchered Walls. HBK saves Jeff from the "Walls" after the match- he comes out to boos (Survivor Series 97) but ends up being cheered, which is weird because Jericho started off the match to boos, but the crowd switched to his side halfway through. (7.5)

MATCH 2-- STORM & REGAL vs RVD & KANE. OK match. Not wonderful. Storm hits a nice DDT halfway into it, but that's about it. The finish is, like one later in the evening, one you'll either like it or you won't: Storm messes with Kane's mask so he can't see, RVD is pushed into him and gets Chokeslammed. Regal covers RVD for the pin.

A nice contrast in styles here. Jericho is someone who always gives 110%, and Jeff Hardy's high flying techniques make for a very good match. Read more
