WWE Vengeance 2007 Match Ratings:

1. Cade & Murdoch vs Hardy Boys (WWE World Tag Team Championship) 3/5

Nice little tag team opener with the Hardy Boys robbed in my opinion, but overall a very good tag team match to start the pay-per-view.

2. Chavo Guererro vs Jummy Wang Yang (WWE Cruiserweight Championship) 3/5

A nice little match for the Cruiserweight Championship with Chavo Guererro successfully retaining the title with the ultimate Guererro frog splash.

3. Johnny Nitro vs CM Punk (ECW Championship) 3/5

Great little match up here for the ECW Championship with both Johnny Nitro and CM Punk being worthy contenders for the championship.

4. Santino Marella vs Umaga (WWE Intercontinental Championship) 2/5

Pretty bad match up here for the Intercontinental Championship, the match ended with Umaga getting disqualified for not hearing the referee counting to the count of five, where he then destroyed Santino at the end.

5. MVP vs Ric Flair (WWE United States Championship) 3/5

Nice little fun match with the Nature Boy Ric Flair going against United States Champion MVP, who in my opinion totally dominated Flair to come out the winner.

6. Deuce & Domino vs Sgt Slaughter & Jimmy Snuka (WWE Tag Team Championship) 3/5

Nice to see some of the old time legends of Sgt Slaughter and Jimmy Snuka challenging the cocky Deuce and Domino for the WWE Tag Team Championship.

7. Edge vs Batista (World Heavyweight Championship) 3/5

Nice little match for the World Heavyweight Championship, though I would say that their steel cage match at One Night Stand 07 was better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Truely Night of the Champions 16 Aug 2007
WWE Vengeance Night of the champions was a great event
Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch against the hardy boyz was a great match and atthe end we see what true sports men cade and murdoch are.
Chavo Gurrero and Jimmy wang yang for the cruiserweight championship was ok.
A new ECW champion will be crowned CM PUNK vs Johny Nitro (chris benoits replacement)due to him not being there due to family probleams but you all know the story good solid match.
Umaga and Santino Morrerlla for the intercontental champinonship dont blink you may miss it.
MVP And Ric Flair for the us championship if only flair cold have beat mvp would have been great
Tag team championship Eurgh waste of time.
Batista vs Edge for the world heavyweight championship in a last chance match good match there cage match at one night stand was better.
Womens championship blah blah
WWE CHAMPIONSHIP John Cena vs Bobby Lashely vs Randy Orton vs Mick Foley vs King Booker not a classic match but very fast paced and exciting
Overall a great event.

3.0 out of 5 stars not as good as they say hey 16 Jun 2008
By sean paul mccann VINE VOICE
WWE vengeance 2007-night of champions, was famous or infamous for two reasons, firstly it occured on the weekend when chris benoit killed himself along with his son and wife, and secondly this was the first time that all 9 titles in the WWE went up for grabs on the one night, three brands, nine titles, how could it go wrong, well it has to fit into just under three hours, there is one clue, some matches were short and some were long so there is that uneven balance and certainly some matches were compromised.
The world tag team championship was up first, the champs lance and murdoch went up against the hardys, this feud had probably run its course at this point but this was still a good, quick opener that gave the crowd high hope on a night meant for champions past and present.
The cruiserweight title was up next, the champ chavo went up against jimmy wang yang, let me start with this, jimmy is a novelty i can live with and he is ok in many aspects but statistics prove that jimmy and pay per views dont go hand in hand so i wasnt quite sure why he was there,he earnt it i guess but didnt go at it with all the vigour in the world, chavo allowed him in my opinion to dominate but it wasnt that convincing, not a good match.
The vacant ECW championship was up for grabs, originally it was meant to be chris benoit vs CM punk, benoit wasnt there for reasons that we were yet to know, his replacement was johnny nitro, nitro played a blinder as did CM,and we got a real classy match that had the crowd going ape,a worthy match on this night.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good PPV 23 Dec 2007

1. Cruiserweight Championship Match
Chavo Guerrero vs Jimmy Wang Yang

6/10 It was a fair match but I don't really like cruiserweights and I especially don't like Chavo. He is so......whatever. I really wanted Jimmy to win this one and become the new champ, but it wasn't to be.

2. Intercontinental Championship Match
Santino Marella vs Umaga

1/10 This match went on for about 30 seconds. Umaga is the craziest wrestler ever. He gets himself DQed by a five count for corner post punches...worst match of the night.

3. World Tag Team Championship Match
Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch vs Lance Cade

7.5/10 Great match. Lots of classy wrestling and a good performance by all 4 superstars. Lance Cade was playing a goody goody 2 shoes to the ref though. Great ending as Lance Cade grabbed the victory of a well deserved fight.

4. United States Championship Match
MVP vs Ric Flair

3/10 I never really liked Ric Flair and this is why. Terrible match and MVP still a show-off.

5. WWE Tag Team Championship Match
Deuce and Domino vs "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka and Sgt. Slaughter

2/10 Deuce and Domino were awful as always. It was good to see some REAL superstars in the ring like Jimmy Snuka and Sgt. Slaughter but overall the second worst of the night.

6. WWE Womens Championship Match
Melina vs Candice Michelle

5/10 Candice was as on fire as ever and Melina finally losing her title. Melina is the worst Womens Champ ever. Ending was a little poor. Winning by a dropkick. It shows that women are nowhere as good as men.
