UNFORGIVEN '02--2 great matches--main event rip off!!!!, 2 Dec 2002
By A Customer
WWE Unforgiven was from Los Angeles,California on September 23rd 2002.These are the matches:1)8 MAN TAG: Christian,Lance Storm,William Regal & Test VS Kane,Bubba Ray Dudley,Goldust & Booker T. (A good opener with a fast paced last few minutes.Kane,Booker T and Lance Storm were especially impressive)***1/2 2)IC TITLE: Chris Jericho(c) VS Ric Flair. (Not a bad match really but weaker than their match at SummerSlam.Silly ending)**3/4 3)Edge VS Eddie Guerrero. (Another rematch from SummerSlam but this match was a big improvement on their previous match.Excellent moves by both but mostly Eddie who was at his best)**** 4)Billy & Chuck VS Rosey & Jamal. (This was the PPV debut of R & J and it was a average to decent match. If B & C win Eric Bischoff must kiss Stephanie's backside but if R & J win Steph has to perform HLA)**1/2 5)WORLD TITLE: Triple H(c) VS Rob Van Dam. (A fairly good 20 minute match with RVD doing a great series of his signature moves near the end.Shocking ending)***1/2 6)WOMEN'S TITLE: Molly Holly(c) VS Trish Stratus. (Some decent moves especially one by Trish but basically an average women's match)**1/2 7)Kurt Angle VS Chris Benoit. (Awesome technical match which stole the show in my opinion.Tons of reversals, suplexes, submissions and counters.Great match)***** 8)WWE TITLE: Brock Lesnar(c) VS Undertaker. (This match was quite good in places but was mainly to set up their Hell In A Cell match a month later at No Mercy. The ending really hurt this match and left the crowd and viewers feeling ripped off)*** Overall a solid PPV with Angle/Benoit as match of the night followed by Edge/Eddie.If you want a complete great PPV from 2002 get SummerSlam or Survivor Series when they are released. If you already have seen them and want to see 2 great matches on a pretty good/average PPV get this.
