Bought for my sons 4th Birthday, he was very excited it was easy to put together. The flip action didn't work at all but may be due to the fact he has different types of wrestlers you may need the exact 1s that go with the ring to make that bit work but overall it was a good buy worth the money!

Great if you have the right kind of figures for it 26 Mar 2014
By Justin G. - Published on Amazon.com
Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
WWE mania is sweeping through my son’s elementary school, so when offered the chance to try out the new WWE Super Strikers Turnbuckle Takedown ring set, I couldn’t pass it by. In this set, the basic wrestling ring is enhanced by a “titantron” monitor and a championship belt that hangs from scaffolding above the ring. You can pull back one of the corner posts and launch your wrestling action figures into the air to either grab the belt or break the screen in two.

This is a pretty neat set, but while it’s the same basic size as the other WWE ring sets, you have to have the Super Striker figures (they’re the ones who make various special moves when you squeeze their legs) to use the launching feature. The other figures’ feet are too small to make it work. That was somewhat disappointing, but my son didn’t mind coughing up his allowance so that Randy Orton could be added to his collection. Aside from that, my only gripe was that the chain piece that was supposed to hold the belt in place was missing from the set. We found a work-around, but we shouldn’t have had to.

If your kids are into WWE and they have one or more of the Super Striker figures, this playset is sure to be a big hit.

Realistic, Detailed Wrestling Ring; Moderate Assembly; Great for Playtime or Displaying One’s Collectables 4 April 2014
By J. B. Hoyos - Published on Amazon.com
Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
The WWE Super Strikers Turnbuckle Takedown Ring was received nicely packaged in its own cardboard box that was shipped inside an Amazon shipping box. The ring arrived unassembled. The assembly took approximately thirty minutes to an hour. There are detailed, illustrated instructions that I carefully and patiently followed. The ring itself is very intricate and realistic; I took great pains in assembling it in order to prevent inadvertent damage. All the parts were present. There are some tiny pieces (i.e., a wrestling belt and a chain); therefore, I can understand why it is not intended for children under six years of age.

I followed each step of the instructions. First, I carefully applied the decals. I consulted the box’s cover art to ensure I was putting them on properly. Next, I inserted the corner pole that contains the spring-loaded turnbuckle and the ring ropes. Untangling the ropes was the difficult part. Next, I inserted the other three posts, making sure they properly snapped into place and would not twist and turn. Then I strung the ropes. Next, I attached the turnbuckle’s platform. Then I assembled the Breakable TitanTron, consisting of a backdrop pole and the breakaway television screen. To the backdrop pole, I attached the hinged pole that hangs over the ring. From this pole one can attach a chain from which the belt dangles. Overall, I would say that the assembly was moderate--not simple or difficult, but moderate. You will need to follow the instructions. Fortunately, only scissors were necessary. No tools were required.

I do own a small collection of WWE wrestlers from when I was a child. Most of them are the classics like “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Hulk Hogan, Ricky “The Steamboat” Dragon, and some real rarities like the British Bull Dogs (Davey Boy and Dynamite Kid). I also have Rocky Balboa, Apollo Creed and Ivan Drago. All of these figures, whether they pertain to wrestling or boxing, look awesome displayed in this ring. I also own some of the newer figures, such as Triple H, John Cena, and Bautista, which I have bought at thrift stores; however, none of them are the recently issued Super Strikers that are highly recommended for playing with this ring. The Super Strikers are more jointed and are more suited for standing and remaining on the platform while it is being pulled back. (They have holes in their shoes that fit over a peg on the launcher.) The Super Strikers figures will successfully launch into the air and crash into the backboard. All other figures will simply drop off.

I highly recommend the new, innovative WWE Super Strikers Turnbuckle Takedown Ring for the young and the young at heart. It coordinates well with other WWE accessories that are intended for the six-inch scale figures. The seven-inch scale figures appear too large for this ring. The ring looks very authentic and realistic. It makes a great display accessory for collectable figures. It would make a great gift for young boys (and girls) who enjoy wrestling. (I know several young girls at my church who are competitive wrestlers in high school and they love watching the human drama that unfolds on WWE; it is like a soap opera.) Currently, my own ring has superstar John Cena (2010 Survivor Series Figure) standing on the turnbuckle while his opponents stand in the ring, looking up at him in horror and dread.

Good Versatile Toy 6 May 2014
By Lemon - Published on Amazon.com
Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I gave this Ring to my nephew, a bit worried that he might be a bit too young for it, but kids have wonderful imaginations, and depending on the toy figures he is playing with, he not only uses it as a wrestling ring, but a corral, and even a monster fighting ring, It was easy to assemble and he enjoys it.

A lot of fun for the wrestling fan 3 Mar 2014
By Brian Reaves - Published on Amazon.com
Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
This ring is a little smaller than the others WWE has sold, but it has the added fun of throwing the wrestlers off the turnbuckles onto each other. Strangely enough, you can dangle the belt like you would for a ladder match, but there is no ladder included. Seems like a mistake to me. The jumbotron can be smashed, which brings the belt down so I guess they just figured that would work. No figures are included.

Great ring. 22 Dec 2013
By Justin Chaput - Published on Amazon.com
My son loves this ring. It seems well built. Mattel has done a great job over the years when it comes to WWE toys.

Assembly is quick and easy.

The new WWE Title belt is included in the box (figures sold separately.)

The turnbuckle that allows you to throw your wrestlers into the Titantron works best with the Super Strikers figures though is still somewhat feasible with other current figures on the market.
