Your opinion of this DVD box set is largely going to be a matter of your answer to the following question; are you a big enough fan of Hulk Hogan to want to sit through nearly nine hours of Hogan matches, promo's and angles stretching a period of 26 years? If yes, then you'll probably already have got this in your collection. If no, you won't be going anywhere near it.
The first thing to say is that there is indeed a HUGE amount of footage on display here, spanning the AWA, the WWF (and the WWE) and WCW. Some of it isn't exactly very thrilling, but you cannot argue against the sheer wealth of archive (and as the title suggests, previously unreleased) footage on show.
Some of it is very good although it soon becomes very clear that Hogan's best matches, surprise surprise, come alongside preminent workers such as Randy Savage (two very good matches from 1986 and 1989 make this collection) and Ted DiBiase or the more agile big men like The Big Boss Man and Bam Bam Bigelow (the latter of whom pops up as Hogan's tag team partner). Matches against the likes of Kamala, Sgt. Slaughter or Killer Khan merely go to prove that point.
It's also fair to say that whilst Hogan had some very entertaining bouts post 2002 in the WWE none of them have made it onto this colection.
That said for any long term wrestling fans there is much to enjoy and a fair few of the encounters have a curiosity value. It's interesting to see a Hogan/Andre The Giant clash from 1980 and although it has to rank as a disappointment it is also a novelty to see a 1991 Madison Square Gardens clash between Hogan and Ric Flair.
If you have a keen interest in Hulk Hogan then obviously this is a DVD set that you will want in your collection. For the more restrained amongst us this set offers up it's fair share of entertainment (although it has to be said that parts of it are awful) and whilst it perhaps isn't something you could watch all in one sitting, it will reward you if you dip in and out of it.
