The elimination chamber and what it used to represent goes against the pg era that we find ourselves in as wwe fans but they still perservere and we have two elimination chamber matches here for the wwe title and the world title respectively.
The event opened with the wwe title on the line as the defending champion sheamus had it all to do against the motivated cena, triple h, randy orton, ted dibiase and kofi kingston. The format of the match is known to us all and it was a solid match, we werent drowning in blood but i was still entertained. This was a good opening with a surprise or two thrown in.
With the event being dominated timewise by the two chambers it was clear that the undercard wouldnt be vast or brilliant and it wasnt if the truth be told.
The intercontiental championship was defended next by drew mcintyre against kane in a poor contest.
team lay cool went up against gail kim and maryse next in a tag match that offered nothing.
The united states champion the miz defended it against mvp next in a match that was alot better than their royal rumble match.
The main event was next and was in a chamber again as the world champion the undertaker went up against cm punk, chris jericho, r truth , rey mysterio and john morrison.
This was the best match of the night packed with flashes of brilliance and some real desire to win. You knew you were watching something good here ,no doubt.

video for xmas 16 Dec 2011

We bought this video, or rather DVD as we are not from the Stone Age, for our son for Christmas. We bought it because he is collecting the series and, being as it was rated at 12, it was the right age for him and so few of these wrestling DVDs are. Many are 15s and even 18s and this is a great source of irritation for him. Why can't more be made for the younger audience?

WWE Elimination Chamber 2010 Match Ratings:

1. John Cena vs Ted Dibiase vs Randy Orton vs Triple H vs Kofi Kingston vs WWE Champion Sheamus
(RAW Elimination Chamber Match for WWE Championship) 3/5

This was a decent way to start the show off, with one of two Elimination Chamber Matches that were going to take place with this Elimination Chamber being for Sheamus's WWE Championship. The chamber itself was hardly used at the start, but during the course of this match going on, the chamber was finally used as the ultimate weapon. Most superstars such as John Cena, Sheamus, Kofi Kingston and especially Triple H felt the wrath of this evil structure.

In the end it was John Cena who made Triple H tap out to the STFU and Cena the new WWE Champion. Though it was not over for Cena as Mr McMahon made Cena defend the WWE Championship against Batista and of course you can imagine what happened, Cena totally worn out and Batista finishing it off with a Spear and Batista Bomb, and Batista is the new WWE Champion.

2. Drew McIntyre vs Kane (WWE Intercontinental Championship Match) 3/5

This turned out to be a very good match, with Kane dominating most of the match with Drew McIntyre at a stage where he could have easily have lost his WWE Intercontinental Championship. Though in the end it was Drew McIntyre who found a way of getting his finisher locked on Kane for the victory and Drew McIntyre still WWE Intercontinental Champion.

3. Gail Kim & Maryse vs Laycool 1/5

Was hoping to have a divas match to determine a WWE Divas Champion, but that put a side by Vickie Guererro who made a tag team match instead and I have to say that it was bad and a waste of pay-per-view time.

4. The Miz vs M.V.P (WWE United States Championship Match) 4/5

Great match for the WWE United States Championship, with plenty of back and forth action from both WWE Superstars.

5. Rey Mysterio vs John Morrison vs Chris Jericho vs CM Punk vs R Truth vs World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker
(Smackdown Elimination Chamber Match for World Heavyweight Championship) 4/5

Possibly the best Elimination Chamber Match of the night, with some of the top superstars of Friday Night Smackdown. The chamber was used a lot in this one and every single superstar in this match felt the wrath of the Elimination Chamber, plus we saw a new World Heavyweight Champion by the name of Chris Jericho.
