I really like this game, ive never had a snooker game before but when i saw the graphics on this game i was amazed. The gameplay is perfect, just like your playing/watching real snooker. The one and only fault i can find with this game is that the commentator does my head in, when you are taking some time to take a tricky shot he keeps saying "YOU HIT THE BIG WHITE BALL, WITH THE BIG LONG STICK" which is funny at first but after the tenth time its really annoying. Overall id say if you like snooker and you are thinking of getting it...JUST GET IT coz its sick. :D

It's as simple as this; the commentary is just awful. After a good few hours of gameplay, John Virgo has repeated himself a number of times.. It is dull.
As a snooker/pool lover though, this is an excellent game. Despite the commentary, I would recommend it. Others have said that it is no improvement on the previous WSC Real, but as a newcomer to the series, I think it's an excellent addition to my games library.

I just bought this game, and while it's just as good as the last snooker game I played, if not better (WSC 2005 on PS2), there's one thing that's really bugging me after only 3 hours of play. John Virgo. Why they bothered to put him in this game is beyond me, because he has about 10 phrases, and all of them are extremely annoying. Hit a long pot, only to have it jiggle in the jaws will be met with a "YES!" followed by a "I was wrong", or take your time to line a shot up, and you'll be met with Virgo telling you that he could read 2 books in the time it took you to line this shot up, or that he could be having a fiesta. I'm not sure what they were thinking of with this, were they taking an extremely unusual approach to helping us play better and faster, or were they just hoping we would laugh at it every time? It's almost as if Virgo doesn't even want to be commentating for the game it's so half-assed. Other than that, and the fact that it's way too easy to add some unwanted sidespin onto the ball when you only want a small stun shot, I can't really fault it. If you like snooker or pool, and you want a game that will last you a long time, get this one. You can't go far wrong.

Really disappointed with this game, looked really good but graphics are really poor and overall gameplay is poor. Its a shame, there is decent sports games out there and snooker is becoming a more popular sport, hopefully with the increasing popularity they will bring a decent version of a snooker game out onto the games market

The gameplay is fine, maybe too easy with one of the camera angles available but if you don't use it then its alot more difficult. If you're planning on using this game only when the lads are around then its good for that but don't expect ANYTHING from the career mode. It doesn't save any progress so once you turn off the console everything is lost! Apparently the creators of the game are working on a patch but seeing as its nearly a year since the game was released i'm not holding my breath. All in all i would not recommend this game to anyone. Very Disappointing!
