We bought these from another supplier 5 years ago. Our daughter is now 7 and they are still going strong after daily use. We take them with us when we eat out and they fit neatly into a bag or pocket. One of these best features is that the handles are lightweight plastic. This makes them easy to hold for small hands and means that when the child puts the cutlery down when they are eating all the weight is on the metal end so they stay well balanced on the plate (and don't flip off onto the floor). The knife has a 'proper' serrated edge which makes for easy cutting. At 16 cm for the fork and a little longer for the knife they are also well sized for long term use.

Our first child got these as a gift 8 years ago and now have just got a set for my 5 year old as the knife in this set is serrated and ideal for kids as they don't have much strength for cutting up food. Just a word of warning though, I sent the first set back as the photo on the box is of a completely different set and didn't want to open the wrapping and break the seal and not be able to return them. But on second try still the same box so opened them and the correct plastic hadled set are indeed inside (even though the photo on the front is an all metal set) must just be a standard box for lots of sets. 100% recommended! :)

We bought one of these sets two years ago for my eldest son, who had outgrown all the childrens cutlery we had. It has worn so well - we never put it in the dishwasher but it looks as good as they day it was bought. My youngest son now is growing out of all his cutlery sets and every meal time there is an argument who should use the WMF set, hence the need for me to buy another set. The cutlery is just the right size for age 2+, also because it is a proper knife it enables them to get used to cutting their own food up. The small spoon is rather small, but perfect for little yoghurts.

Brought these for my two and half year old son, as had grown out of his baby cutlery. I did not want to buy him themed cutlery set, as will no doubt grow out of the theme few months later. When they arrived, he was delighted by having 'Big Boy' cutlery set and being in funky bright colours which reinforces colour recognition, plus easy to hold and use. He has used them non-stop and uses them even when they are not required, such as his sandwiches!!! As a mummy, I was equally chuffed with them and know they will be still be used in years to come with his younger brother or perhaps I will have to buy him a set - Worth the money spent.

Nice looking but expensive for the quality. This review is written a year after purchase:
The cutlery is not dish-washer safe and many have come unglued and the handles cloudy as a result of my dish-washing them.
Note also that if you lose a spoon (as I have) the manufacturers to not sell individual replacements so you must purchase a complete set.

I have 4 sets of this set to share between my 2 children and they are fantastic step up towards normal cutlery. I started using them when my son was 3 and now my daughter who is just over 2 is using them to be like her big brother. She is not really ready for them but is trying her best... they love them so much as I have to take them out when we eat out!

Only kids cutlery set we could find that had a knife with serrations so the bairns could actually learn to cut food properly. Unfortunately over time the handles have split. Children are not 7 and 10, and out of two sets we still have a fork and a spoon. Were they not so expensive I'd have bought some more to do the kids until their hands are full grown
