Like all WMF products, the build quality and safety features on this pressure cooker are superb. Its size makes it very useful for small households (1 or 2 people) or cooking small amounts of food that would be lost in one of their larger models, and the improvement in cooking times saves money and carbon footprint. I even took it camping, where it greatly expanded the range of cooking possible, though its weight would preclude use by backpackers.
However, a small word of warning: because of its small size and especially depth compared to other WMF pressure cookers, it's very important to thoroughly rinse foods that might froth up during cooking, such as pulses and particularly rice, before placing them in the cooker, and also not to attempt to cook too much at once. I discovered this when cooking unrinsed brown rice on two separate occasions - there was an unexpected blast of steam for a second or two. While this did not lower the pressure enough to affect the cooking, it could conceivably have caused minor scalds to someone in close proximity. I assume it was due to the pressure gauge or valve becoming temporarily clogged - it's not a manufacturing fault and does not occur, for instance, when cooking potatoes.
But as long as you are careful with foods of this type, it's an incredibly useful - and safe - asset to the kitchen.
