Until I bought the WMF metal tea-infuser, I'd always used the rather nasty little plastic mesh kind, which did the job but somehow ended up looking a bit sordid. I love the WMF infuser which I use several times a day to make my green tea. It is easy to clean, works beautifully, and - if you hold it at an angle and turn it while running a stream of water onto it from the tap - emits a beautiful, other-worldly humming sound. What a bonus!

It could do with being a bit taller to allow more surface area to meet the water in a mug. No problem with teas such as Darjeeling, but the smaller bits of Assam leak through.

I probably am going to sound like a tea anorak, but this is the best tea strainer I've ever owned. Capacity is large, heaps of room for loose tea. If you grip the edge and lift the infuser up and down, it moves the loose tea around for a fast cuppa. Easy to clean, give it a knock and a rinse. My cutlery is WMF stainless steel, so am hoping this lasts as long. My Mum raved about it on her last visit, so I've just ordered her one as a surprise!

Excellent product!
This is a very handy device for making tea and especially a quick coffee. I recommend it! Fits into all size cups and is easy to clean afterwards.

Pretty good but prone to rust
This is a nice looking device and works well with large-leaf tea. However, if you allow drops of water to dry on the surface, rust spots develop, which isn't great. Read more
