I now have three of these cameras and have just ordered a fourth.

The new 5 Volt model is far better than the older 12 Volt one. The early instruction manual (V3.17) leaves a lot to be desired in that it is clearly a translated document that leaves you scratching your head. I found that I carried out a procedure first (after a lot of blundering around) and then tried to find what I had done in the instructions. Instructions (V3.18) with the 5 Volt camera are better. A fair amount of router knowledge is presumed by both instructions. After several days I manged to set up all the cameras alongside each other for testing.

The older camera picture was not as sharp nor was the colour as good as the latest model (5Volt). The IR images seemed to be the same with both old and new cameras.

The quality of the pictures with a direct LAN cable connected or by WiFi seem about the same.
The power supply should be handled with care as the cable is thin and could be damaged easily.

I am now slowly getting to grips with setting the automatic alarms and recording the video.

The new camera is worth the buy, as it is sturdily constructed and gives a fine picture for the price of the unit. I would reccommend it.

I later had to return my 12Volt camera as the focus became worse (possible component degredation). Eyes on 247 were courteous and quickly replaced this camera without hesitation.
If only all firms were like this.

i have this product at home for outside my house, its great for at the front door, as i can see what goes on while am at work plus when i went away for a couple of days i could also what was happening while i was away. it was easy enough to set up after syncing with the router and setting all the settings on it, i may even buy another for round the back of the house as this seller gave me the idea of watching my pets in the garden and there is an option for multi cameras on the device

I am currently serving in the forces and purchased this camera to keep a eye on my garage whilst away on operations. It was so easy to install and i set up a motion alarm so that whenever anyone came close to the garage it sends a email to me. You can view the camera externally as well as internally.
I would recommend this camera to anyone that wants quality and good value.
