Save your money - dont buy this !. Its cheap because its CHEAP. Ive just had the second one crash - no power indicator, all data lost. It was 3 months old, the other 7 months old and both barely used. Yes I could have got a refund but thats not the point. WD are a great brand but this model is a waste of money. Pay more and get something better. In the WD range the My Book has proved reliable - I have 3, all of which are still working well after several thousands of hour of use. I did not buy either of the failed Elements drives from Amazon but from a major UK high Street retailer (PC World) - the drives were bought months apart at different branches, so it was not a faulty batch issue, just a rubbish product, one to avoid, in my opinion. Dont blame the seller - its the product.
