Having gone to a High Street chain for a similar product, costing half as much again as this one (and returned it as not being 'fit for purpose'), I was well pleased with this unit. It was delivered within two days - ordered on the 13th - arrived by Royal Mail on the 15th.
This unit did what I wanted - and while the box is of plastic construction, it looked and felt robust.
The item that arrived had a clear cover, and neon indicator lights; and the cover had a simple but effective dual catch system.

Amazon Verified Purchase
The socket is very well made in that it appears to be constructed of good quality materials. My only criticism is that it is dashed difficult to open the front; more than a modicum of force is required. Otherwise satisfied with the product at a very reasonable price.

Weatherproof double socket IP66
This item seems to be ok, I will have a better idea once it has been in use for a while. The locking clip seems a bit weak, only time will tell how good it is.

Surprised at high quality considering price
