Waring all-in-one soup maker
All-in-One Soup Maker

The Waring all-in-one soup maker creates home-made, delicious soup from start to finish in as little as 20 minutes.

Easy Steps to Perfect Dishes

The clever design takes away pots, pans and hand blenders to create perfect soup all in one jar. An integrated non-stick plate sautés your garlic, onions or vegetables to soften and release flavours. Next, pour in the stock and the Waring soup maker will cook, boil and simmer your ingredients. Finally, the integrated stainless steel blade will blend your soup to perfection. There is even a stir function.

What I like about the Waring Pro

1) It's really easy to use
2) It's changed the way I make soup because it's much cleaner, and more efficient than making it the traditional way
3) You don't need to watch a pan so you can get on with other things
4) You don't have to get our a separate blender, or transfer hot liquid into a food processor
5) It free's up the hob so it's great when entertaining
6) I use mine 3 - 4 times a week and I've had it for just over a year
7) It saves me money, and it's helped me loose weight by having soup instead of sandwiches for dinner
8)The jug is made from thick glass and feels like good quality

What I don't like about it

1) The writing has worn off the buttons. I don't know if this is because I've used it so many times, but I wouldn't have expected it to wear off so easily. Thankfully I've used it that many times, I could probably make soup in my sleep

2) You do need to be careful with the onions because they can burn quickly

3) If you cook meat or fish in it, it can be hard to clean. My advice is to cook these separately, then add them to the soup maker. So fif your making chicken soup for example with chicken breast, instead of putting the chicken in the blender to brown, just fry it off quickly in a pan. You might think this defeats the purpose of the soup maker, but personally I think in every other way it's convenient, even doing this is more efficient than the traditional way.

FYI - The Waring Soup Maker is Made by the Same Parent Company as the Cuisinart SSB1U Soup Maker. Both machines look almost identical, the recipe books are almost the same, and when I contacted Waring, I got an email back from Cuisinart Customer care.

My tip is to coat the onions in oil, rather than pouring oil into the blender. You've also got to watch them as they brown so they don't burn. Use the stir button frequently, and if they look like they're going to burn, turn the heat down from high to simmer.

Been looking for some time at soup makers and also trying to decide are they just another too have item gathering dust or worktop clutter!
Finaly I took the plunge and went for the Waring Pro WSMU1,there appear to one or two others about that look identical but with different branding but I settled for the Waring mainly because of it,s suggested commercial build quality and a three year warranty suggest the manufacturers don,t expect any issues for at least three years (much better than twelve months!)
Am using it on a weekly basis and so far it does what it say,s on the tin very well.I stick to vegatable soups and don,t mind a bit of chopping for veg prep.Timming work as directed and the outcome has been first class making soups at maximum fill of 700ml of added liquid with 450g of vedg. This gives two of us two good helpings each, also if after making you add pasta of your choice it becomes a complete meal.
I would rate this product as excellent along with the supplier for their service.

Delivery not to great, sent a chaser e-mail when delivery was within 2 days.It arrived 2 days later.
We looked at two versions of the soup maker,we were not impressed with some of the comments on one of them,
so we opted for the Waring.A few pounds more, but as we now know, well worth it.
We have now used it 5 times and each time the soup gets better...its down to you to adjust the ingredients
to suit your taste.
Recommendations when making soup...cut the vegetables into small cubes. We used oxo cubes for stock to start with,
All We could taste was salt.Changed to KALLo cubes, these are much better. You pay a little more, but worth it
(£1.09 at sainsbury's and £1.08 at asda per pack of 6) We also add a table spoon of Mushroom Ketchup.
