Not for (small) kids! 12 Jan 2009
Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
I wouldn't recommend giving this to a child due to the doors in her chest being so flimsy (they keep falling open too) and the small parts, but as a more of a display item or toy for older children, etc., it's good.

I don't know about the eyes getting stuck, but i have read that this is the other possible problem with this toy. So i haven't played with that feature v.much.

My problem in general was trying to stop other people playing with my WALL-E toys (i also have M-O and iDance WALL-E)! i just wanted to keep them mainly for display.. some people had other ideas. *grr!* [solution: put them back in their boxes &/or on a v.high shelf.] ;p

We love Eva 17 April 2012

Its a great character and a great toy. Good quality plastic, not flimsy. In the end, when the child has outgrown this and moved on to bakugans or star wars Lego, put it on your desk and rightfully call it art.

Less would have been more 12 July 2008
By Sara Kniffen - Published on Amazon.com
Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
Couldn't wait to get Eve and Wall-E toys after seeing the movie - boy, are we disappointed! This toy features 6 different eye expressions that change when her head is pressed. We got through one round of eye changes when it stopped working. Now she's stuck on the same expression no matter how much we press her head (and we were not rough at all!). Also, Eve comes with a little stand - a plastic arm is supposed to pop into a hole in the back of Eve. It simply doesn't work, no matter how we try to get her to fasten in.

A different reviewer mentions that the door to her compartment didn't work for him. It did work for us. Still, it seems like there are a lot of different features, any of which may or may not work. If I could go back in time, I'd buy a simpler (and cheaper) Eve, with fewer cracked bells and broken whistles.

Great toy, with one problematic area 30 Jun 2008
By Todd C. Lockhart - Published on Amazon.com
Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
It may have been just our, but on the one we purchased the left door on Eve's vegetation compartment wouldn't stay closed. Since it was the last one, I opted to try to fix it and managed to do so. A little bit more plastic reinforcing the door's arm would have prevented the issue. Even so, a small wedge of plastic and some super glue addressed the issue so that you'd never know there was a problem. Again, it may be a fluke issue, but the fact that the item is packaged with the left door opened makes me think that it may be likely to affect others.

Disappointed 19 July 2008
By N. Kapinos - Published on Amazon.com
Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
We received this toy today and are disappointed. Like a previous reviewer, the doors on Eve come open very easily and don't stay shut. Also, Eve's eyes get stuck in one position and it's very difficult to get them unstuck and to change again. My daughter LOVES EVE so we won't send this back, but we will be writing the toy company an email. Save your money and wait for other WALL E toys to come out!
