This little book is perfect as an informative and challenging focus for discussion of current affairs in the run up to the election. It would probably also work well as a stimulus to personal reflection.
The main thing is it is well written and aims to highlight key issues - an antidote to the rhetoric of politicians in 'sell mode' or the scare-mongering of much of the press.
I liked the fact that individual contributors didn't promote their party but that the three big UK parties were able to set out their stall in an appendix; this felt even-handed, and realistic - we vote in a party-based system, but writers of integrity can rise above party politics when identifying key issues.
