It's been a few days since finishing this and the main thing that's stuck with me, is that ending was totally rubbish. It was a nice, entertaining read, but I really can't justify more than 3 stars.

Having read the first two books with enjoyment, I looked forward to this one and was not disappointed. The characters are believable and the fantasy world utterly convincing, with some original ideas. I would recommend this for anyone who loves the genre, from youngsters to adults. My daughter has now also enjoyed all three books.
