You are buying a net ONLY. This is to replace the damaged/worn out netting of your existing trampoline. It does not come with any poles or fixings. This netting is designed to go round the outside rim of your trampoline therefore preserving the maximum jumping area. The netting has sleeves that slide over your enclosure poles. Make sure that your enclosure has 8 poles and that you have measured the width of your trampoline correctly before buying. The diameter of your trampoline is the distance across the top frame ring from outside metal edge to outside metal edge through the centre of the trampoline - it is not the size of the mat.

This differs slightly from the Plum original in that it secures to the outside of the trampoline pad rather than the inside. Our previous Plum original had ripped within the first few days and this seems much better and also gives a more roomy feeling.
I found it easy to fit and have learnt my lesson as this is my fourth time replacing a net. If you follow the gasket tightening approach of fixing one pole about 12 inches on and then the opposite side and then the others at 90 degrees then slide each down by 12 inches or so working around the trampoline then it is easy.
I did find that one section was very tight so I very slightly moved the net supporting poles to ease the slack. I also did this where the opening is, just slighlty moving both poles in towards the zip so that it was not strained.
I don't expect this to last more than one year, I think the sun, frost and rain will destroy the net but at this price I will just buy another next year.
The original net lasted a good four or five years - despite in it's latter year being used in a similar vane to a hammock by the children - so I have yet to rate it's lasting power, but so far so good.
From experience, it is important not to stretch the net too tightly between poles when fitting. To avoid this happening, it is best to slide the plastic sleeves on bit by bit and work round the trampoline pole by pole, gradually lowering the sleeve down each pole and checking the tension of the net as you do so. It does take time (perhaps 20 minutes to secure the entire net) but you are less likely to stretch or tear the net as might happen by putting on too much of each sleeve too quickly.
The previous netting was internal ie attached to the poles by straps, with the padded trampoline surround sitting outside the net, whereas with this product the external net fully encloses the trampoline and padding.
Gradually sliding the sleeves down the poles (working about 6 inches per pole per time) and methodically moving your stepladder around the trampoline worked best. The job was straightforward, the product looks good and safe. I'd reiterate seller advice to measure the trampoline correctly and only buy for an 8 pole trampooline.
Very happy - highly recommended.

This product is very good. Time will tell if it withstands teenagers bouncing off it though.Published 6 months ago by Mrs Georgia Moran
Faults in the net look ugly and have been sewn shut after what looks like ripping airing manufacturing process. Despite careful measurement the door does not close eitherPublished 7 months ago by Vampire-Fiction Addict
