The Vortex is awesome. I lost one up a tree... which wasn't so awesome, so I bought a new one, which is amazingly awesome! I throw it in the park when the sun is out. It goes really, really far and makes a high-pitched awesome sound (which can make some people leave the park, but that's fine because it means there's more room to throw it further) and sometimes we throw it over a tree which makes us look really cool (although you don't look so cool when it gets stuck in said tree and you're standing underneath looking up up at it for 10 minutes and then leave the park empty handed). In conclusion, buy the Vortex! Throw it! Be Awesome! (Avoid trees!)

First bought one of these as a Christmas present 2009. Was such good fun, later bought a further 2 for other presents, which have each been equally well received. A good buy.

I bought the howler to take on holiday to play on the beach with my 9 year old son. He loved throwing it even though he couldn't throw it as far as an adult. I would highly recommend this to anyone for fun on the beach or in the park. Especially good for throwing practice for children. Expect to be stared at from spectators wondering where the whislte is coming from.

This toy is sturdier than alot of other versions are.
