I won this book in a transformers comic recently, and started reading it, over 2 days, having just finished reading it. I am aware of other books that chris has written but untill now never read them. This is a great book which fills the reader with suspence, horror, and terror,and ends with a satisfiying conclusion. The main character is Ben, unlike his normal mates who go to normal places, he always has a bad habit of being at the wrong place at the wrong time, a common theme in the previous books to this review. Chris draws the reader in to bens world, a normal teen, with an unfortuante knack of being or stumbling into somethings he shouldn't.The more you read the more you want to find out what will happen, who is the person lurking in the shadows, what does the gang/organization want, can they be stopped in time? This book is a great read to all ages, and would make a worthy book to have in any collection you have, of other authors.

A thrilling book where Ben Tracey and his cousin go for a peaceful bird-watching week near an RAF base called Spadedam, but when they find out strange things are happening in the RAF base it kick-starts their adveture.

I didn't realise this was a book for children..........I've read almost every book Chris Ryan has written ,and enjoyed them all, however this was a bit far fetched as to how mature and clever two 14 year olds were. As soon as I started reading it, it reminded me of Andy McNabs 'Boy Soldier' series aimed at the same target audience, however, they are much more believable as the young lad in them has his grandad who's ex SAS to help him along.
