This item arrived yesterday, the packaging was ok, I peeled the potatoes, put the first potato in the chipper for regular chips. The handle felt stuck as I pressed down on the potato, it had went a little bit through the blades, then the side of the chipper came apart and the bolt holding the thing together nearly hit me as it flew out of its place. Wouldn't waste money on this, description said stainless steel, giving the impression it was sturdy enough, but it is not solid enough and not good for intended purpose.

Really badly designed I only chose this one as some people were giving it good reviews. No instructions, not easy to use, potatoes constantly getting stuck and I have cut my hands and fingers numerous times. I strongly recommend people not to buy this.

This item is ok, it does the job, but it is smaller than my previous plastic one and the latch that holds the plate in place isn't very well made and is fiddley. I don't think this will last very long!

Decent quality item, stainless steel, with two cutter sizes, does the job but don't overdo it with potato size. Would recommend.

Disappointing. After using it only twice for carrots one of the blades broke. I like the design but feel the quality of the steel could be improved.

I always have trouble cutting chips properly and carrot batons etc so this has made life so much quicker and neater, The trick is not to try and put large pieces of spud through it, just square off the sides (which would come out too thin too use anyway) and slice larger spuds in half, otherwise the spud may jam halfway through (not a design fault as this happened with my previous chipper). I use it to fine dice my carrots by making batons and then just chopping these up. Haven't tried it with any other veg yet. Its easy to wash in the sink afterwards. The stable base means the chips haven't shot across the kitchen yet much to the disappointment of my dogs.

The unit is way to small to fit a normal size potato into, only about a 2" potato will fit
