I first bought an "Ultra Slim LED TV Wall Mount Bracket System", to mount my 55" Samsung LED TV. Those use a picture hanging type of arrangement with two large bolts into the wall to support the cable, which the TV then hangs on. While the cable and brackets seemed resilient enough, they are only as strong as the two wall fixings. Having tested these and found that the supplied fixings pulled out of the wall fairly easily, I opted for this Designer Habitat bracket instead.
This type of bracket screws to the wall at eight or more points, so it is very secure, although it does stick out from the wall by 1cm more than the cable hanging type of bracket. Unlike the cable type of bracket, this also has the advantage of holding the TV firmly against the wall, which is a big factor if you have children in the house. The supplied wall mount rawl plugs and screws were not very good though, so I'd recommend buying some better ones.
This bracket is also a stable platform to mount LED lighting strips, if you want to light up the wall around the TV, instead of the whole room (which looks really great and cuts down on screen glare).
