The fitting is pretty simple to connect but the instructions aren't very clear about it being for two completely different types of bulb (230v GU10 fitting; or 12V bulb), and which bit you throw away if you're not using 12v. Nor on how to clamp it into the ceiling, which I did by intuition rather than by reading it. Also, the inner ring which holds the bulb has two small lumps that prevent certain bulbs from seating properly. I can't think what they're for and squashed them down to make room for the bulb. Now I'm very pleased with it and would recommend it. If they get rid of the lumps and improve the instructions it deserves 5 stars
