If you're planning a road trip in one of these vehicles then this book will be an essential part of your toolkit. Even if you don't have much mechanical skill, you'll be able to give her the right TLC and diagnose faults. If she does break-down (which at her age is likely) then with a bit of patience and karma you'll be back on the road before the tow truck even arrives ;)

vw transporter manual,

we recieved the above manual within days of ordering,although it was helpful in identifying certain components,it would have been better to have more coloured photo's.this would have made it easier to pick things out quicker.
It could have been a bit more informative as to what components belonged to which model VW,as they were going through a lot of changes at the time.

Not as good as the Bently Manuel but does a good job explaining the basics.

The pictures/diagrams are not quite as good as the factory repair manual, but at one quarter of the price this is a much better deal. This book is great for routine maintenance as well as troubleshooting problems and repairs.

Don't waist you time and money on this one, get the Bentley. Haynes will refer you to the factory manual for all the torque specks so you will still need to buy the Bentley manual rendering Haynes useless.
