Absolute Must for all Hardcore Fans, not a bad track on the album and the mixing is First rate as you'd expect from these Dj's.
Ok, well since the end of Bonkers I have been away from Hardcore for a while. Don't know why, probably just focusing on my Trance a bit more.
Anyways I have been reading up on whats going on in the scene for a while so I decided to get this compilation since it has been really praised on a few sites.
First impressions are good! Listening to the 3rd CD now, Fracus & Stormtrooper.
Brisk & Ham CD1 - happy and bouncy
Marc Smith & Al Storm CD2 - banging with a lot of vocal tunes
Fracus & Stormtrooper CD3 - stomping with some vocals
Looking forward to CD4! Expecting a lot of breaks.
By the way mixing has been top notch on all discs so far.
In terms of structure I say it stayed pretty much the same since the Bonkers (13-15) era.
Still, I have to say that Gammer is the DJ I look for on a Hardcore CD compilation. There is not much Essential Platinum material on this release which is disappointing.
Not happy about Amazon lowering the price 2 days after I bought the CD though. Sly move there, gimme my pound back lol.

Intricate, clever, well thought through and amazing to listen to. Everytime i listen to it i love it even more. Next generation are so underated in my opinion and all because a lot of the songs seem too 'messy' at first and don't grab you straight away like many of the simpler dance type tracks (which still are wicked). However..after listening to it a few times i honestly think this is the best hardcore album ever and thats coming from a raver of 8 years with 60 or so hardcore cds. Experimental breakbeat (cds 3 and 4 especially), catchy women vocalists throughout with amazing lyrics. Changes of pace, a wide array of different sounds and effects, banging base and overall....FEEL GOOD, GET YOUR DANCING SHOES ON and GET HYPER STYLE! HU4 cant wait.

Four mixes and they're all good. Brisk & Ham I was a little disappointed with for a start, but once you're past a less-than-sparkling opening things pick up considerably. Read more
