Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
A well-worth-it purchase! This book gives personal accounts and the experiences of those people who have experienced psychosis in its severe form. The experiences of the people are brought to life in a way that allows the reader to understand and perceive the debilitating personal and social aspects associated with psychosis. The wider impact of such aspects are also explored pertaining to family members and friends. I did find myself cringeing from time to time since the accounts given were detailing mental health care within the recent past. This is a text that all mental health professionals should read and learn from to ensure that esential mental health care is delivered in line with the needs of the client group in question. Consequently, it has been recommended as an essential reading text for students of mental health nursing where I work.
